National averages as a starting point
The default prices come from national averages across major suppliers. A bag of 80lb concrete mix at $6.50. A 2x6x8 at $5.98. An 80lb bag of quikrete at $7.25. These numbers get you in the right ballpark for quick estimates.
They update with app releases, but material prices move fast. That's why the override exists.
Override with your local prices
Lumber in Seattle costs different than lumber in Tampa. Tap any material price and replace it with what your yard actually charges. Your override sticks. Every calculator that references that material uses your number from that point on.
You can reset to the default at any time if you want the national average back.
Prices flow into every estimate
