It understands fractions

Say "eight and five eighths inches." SiteCalc parses that into 8.625 and drops it into the active field. Halves, quarters, eighths, sixteenths. The speech engine converts spoken fractions to decimals before the number hits the calculator.

Mixed numbers work too. "Three and a half feet by ten and three quarter feet" fills both length and width in one shot.

Filler words get stripped

People don't speak in clean numbers. You say "uh, about twelve, no, thirteen feet." SiteCalc's parser throws away the "uh," the "about," and the false start. It grabs "thirteen feet" because that's the last valid measurement in the phrase.
